Chapter 11: Arabella

She was sleeping peacefully, her blankets tugged up to her chin and curled up in a ball; her teddy bear clutched in her arms. Arabella had a good sleep that night. No dreams, no tossing and turning...nothing. It was quiet in the Aphrodite cabin, a stillness that filled the whole room and made everything feel better. Arabella could have stayed like that forever.

Suddenly, something fell onto her bed and started shaking her. "Arabella! Arabella, wake up right now!"

Arabella groaned and opened her eyes, squinting up at Daniel, who was sitting over her and grinned down at her. She rolled her eyes and sat up, holding her blanket around her shoulders. "Why am I awake?" She muttered.

"Because I've been awake for three hours and I got sick of waiting for you to wake up. I'm just too excited for the party tonight and then after everything that happened last night...I'm just a big bundle of excitment!" Daniel giggled and Arabella let out a huff.

"And you couldn't talk this over with Brooke?" Arabella yawned and she locked eyes with Daniel. they laughed. With a little smile on her face, Arabella stretched out her arms then let out a little sigh. "Okay. I'll find my shoes and then we can go get some food" She finally said and she rolled out of bed, tugging on the hem of her shorts.

"Oh, thank the gods!" Daniel sighed and he stood up. She found a pair of flip flops and she slipped into them, pulling her hair back.

"Shut up" Arabella muttered and she linked her arm with Daniel's, walking out of the cabin with him. When they got down to the mess hall, they saw that it was full and buzzing. There was an excitment in the air as people talked about what happened to Caleb and whispered about the party.

"Everyone seems really excited about my party" Daniel said to Arabella as they walked to their table, holding their breakfast.Arabella let out a nervous little sigh as she sat down. She leaned forward, asking her cup for her normal coffee and then yawned.

"You're not going to make it some really crazy party, right? I mean...it's not going to be too big, Danny?" Arabella asked him with wide eyes. Daniel looked at her with a little smile. He paused for a minute before nodding.

"Yes, hun. It's not going to be too big"

"Why don't I trust you?" Arabella muttered, popping an orange slice into her mouth. Daniel shrugged, laughing a little bit. Arabella smiled a little, looking away and sipping her coffee. She really hoped that it would be a good party. Daniel was kind of known for his parties and he always managed to throw really good ones. However, Arabella was never the whole reason for a party and she didn't know how she would like it. There would be pressure on her to actually find the guy that had saved her.

"Uh oh.." Daniel muttered and Arabella looked up, seeing Caleb walking over to them. He had an angry look on his face and he was glaring at Arabella and Daniel. Arabella cleared her throat, pushing her hair behind her ear.

"Do you know anything about what happened last night?" Caleb demended, ignoring Daniel completely.

"I have no clue what you're talking about" Arabella said in her most innocent voice, putting a sweet smile on her face.

"You know everyone at this camp, you must have some idea" Caled said and Arabella sighed.

"Caleb. I have no idea what you're talking about. Please leave me alone" Arabella looked up at him with big eyes, hoping that he would trust her. In all honesty, she thought that her heart was going to beat out of her chest but she had to keep her poker face on.

"Dammit, Bella! I saw you outside of the Aphrodite cabin last night. I know that you were involved. There is no way that those two losers from Hermes did this alone" Caleb growled and Arabella let out a huff.

"They're from Hermes, Caleb. I've seen those kids do pretty amazing things" She said then leaned forward a little bit. "Now, please. Leave me alone" Arabella hissed, glaring up at him. Caleb huffed and glared at her before turning and walking away. She glanced at Daniel and rolled her eyes, taking another sip of her coffee.

"Damn, girl" Daniel said, snapping his fingers in a Z formation. Arabella laughed and she quickly finished off her breakfast. Together, they dealt with their dishes and headed out of the mess hall. Arabella wanted to take it pretty easy for the rest of the day, maybe take a nap or sit out in the sun and read a book. She needed to relax before the party. As they walked back towards the cabins, Arabella spotted Jake, Hunter and Brooke. It looked like they were headed to the arena. Arabella waved to them and she smiled when Hunter and Jake waved back. Hopfully, they would have some time to talk at the party that night.

"I don't know why you're not wearing a skirt or a dress or something" Daniel huffed, adjusting his shirt a little bit. Arabella glanced over at him and sighed when she saw him analysing his reflection.

"I'm not wearing a skirt because we're going to a party in the woods." Arabella explained to him amd she tugged on the hem of her denim shorts. Daniel had been bugging her all day about her outfit and when he saw that she was only wearing a pair of shorts and a loose tank top, he bugged her even more. Sure, if they were going to some party in New York City, Arabella probably would have worn a skirt or a dress but they were going to be in the middle of the woods.

"I talked to my friend from Hermes and he promised us that he would be able to sneak in some drinks for us" Daniel told her and he turned around, looking at Arabella. When she sat down on her bed to pull on a pair of TOMS, he rolled his eyes. Thankfully, he didn't say anything. Arabella yawned and she stood up, letting her hair out of the bun so that it fell in loose curls down her back.

"Alright. We might as well get going" Arabella said and she put her hands in her pockets. Daniel grinned at her and he linked his arm in her, walking out of the cabin with her. He looked so happy, it was hard for Arabella to not feel a little excited. They walked down towards the woods, looking around. Most of the campers were still at the camp, getting ready to go. Arabella wanted to be there early though, so that they could get things set up and they could make sure that they got everything they needed.

They were having the party at a clearing in the woods that was rather private. It was deep in the woods and only the campers knew where it was, making it the perfect place to have parties. There was a small path that led down to the water and it was a big enough clearing it hold pretty well all of the camper. This, however, was going to be a pretty big party. Word had gotten out that Daniel was throwing the party for Arabella which meant that every guy in the camp was going to make sure he was there. Even if he hadn't been invited.

"Took you long enough to get here" A voice said and Arabella looked up as they stepped into the clearing. A short-ish boy was standing in the clearing, grinning over at them. At his feet were 4 bags full of bottles and cups.

"It's good to see you, Brody" Arabella grinned and she walked over to him, giving her friend a hug.

"Oh...this is going to be so much fun!" Daniel giggled, clapping his hands together.
